NCORR Environmental Review Certification
Certification for Environmental Professionals
Developed by the North Carolina Office of Recovery and Resiliency (NCORR), the Environmental Review Certification provides a testing and certification process for consultants chosen by a grant recipient to complete their NCORR project’s HUD 24 CFR Part 58 environmental assessment.
NCORR, as a recipient of Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) and Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) funds, is responsible for compliance with the HUD environmental review procedures set forth in 24 CFR Part 58. This certification process aims to ensure consultants have the resources and knowledge to prepare a quality HUD 24 CFR Part 58 environmental assessment. This is not a training program. Consultants are required to pass the Certification Exam in order to work on NCORR projects.
A grant recipient will choose a consultant to prepare their NCORR project’s environmental assessment. The consultant will take the Certification Exam and receive further instructions.
Certified Consultants only will receive access to the portal. There are public resources provided at the links below.
