North Carolina's long-term disaster recovery programs for homeowners are made possible through U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery and Community Development Block Grant – Mitigation funding. That recovery assistance is delivered through two key programs which provide critical help to families that experienced damage due to Hurricane Matthew, Hurricane Florence, or both storms.
