2018:

• September 14, 2018: Hurricane Florence made landfall.

2019:

• May 14, 2019: Congress allocates Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery funds to states affected by Hurricane Florence.

2020:

• January 27, 2020: HUD Federal Register Notice specifies fund use requirements (500 days post-storm).
• January 28, 2020: North Carolina’s Hurricane Florence Action Plan posted for public comments.
• March 13, 2020: Action Plan to HUD after required 45-day comment period.
• April 27, 2020: North Carolina’s Action Plan first state plan approved by HUD.
• June 15, 2020: NCORR Homeowner Recovery Program launches.

2021:

• June 15, 2021: 600 construction projects completed. 
• September 30, 2021: Over $180 million in awards offered.
